Yes it is ..there are particles called tachyons which do so

But travelling faster than speed of light is impossible since we can never reach the speed of light since at that speed we need infinite energy

Tachyons are just hypothetical. It's like me saying ooh there is a sandwich going faster then light you don't know that's real or not.
