Actually live in Copalis Beach, moved here last Feb. after spending 16 years in Florida taking care of my mother. She passed in Sept. '18 and I headed back home as soon as I could. I grew up in Oregon, spent a few years in Longview, Wa. as a mail carrier, spent 22 years in the military and am now retired. I love to travel and am somewhat spontaneous. I don't go out much (Damn Governor closed everything), when I do go out it is usually to the Elks, Eagles, VFW. Haven't found a Moose lodge or American Legion post. My favorite things to do are take photographs, sing or spend time in the woods. Of course this time of year I mostly read or watch TV. I am very conservative politically, spent years doing my part to fight communism and now people in my country are putting them in power. I blame our education system for dumbing down our citizenry. I love to travel, but not alone, I have seen some beautiful things and wish I could have shared them with someone else. I had a friend who told me that she was so surprised by the fact that I often noticed the smallest beautiful things that most others never see. Not sure if that is a good thing or not. I enjoy cooking but the kitchen here makes that a little troublesome at times. They don't make kitchens big enough anymore. I'm generally pretty handy with fixing things and building things. you would generally find me in western cloths, but there are times wear T-shirts, or just regular short sleeve shirts or flannel shirts, but almost always a hat. When the weather warms I spend a lot of time planting flowers, tending roses, and working in the yard. I don't chat much on these sites because of the cost and spending money on things that lead nowhere seems such a waste. So chit chatting doesn't really interest me, I pretty much like getting to the point. I have been known to travel a couple hundred miles to meet someone and take off for the weekend, but haven't done that since I've moved back home, but always up for a road trip. I'm not currently looking for a lasting thing, but if that happens I'm not opposed to it. Just would really like some friends that enjoy similar things. I do like card and board games also. I will probably add to this as I see questions asked that I think I can answer here without having to do it over and over online. I have a couple of emails, and social networking accounts but I don't use one much, I don't like supporting liberals. I don't know what they will let me put on here and not block so I will wait to see, perhaps you can tell me about sharing emails and phone numbers. I am also a prostate cancer survivor.
